Idahlynn Karre, Ph.D.

Consultant

Idahlynn Karre, Ph.D., serves as an international educational consultant, facilitator, leadership team coach, and speaker for colleges, universities, and educational organizations including the Chair Academy. Her dedication to strengths includes professional development seminars for colleges, universities, and professional organizations across the United States and Canada. Dr. Karre also serves as a StrengthsQuest Advisor to Gallup's StrengthsQuest program.

Dr. Karre has been recognized for her excellence in teaching, speaking, professional coaching, and leadership. She was awarded the 1992 National Teacher of the Year and the 1992 National Speakers Association Outstanding Professor; was the 2000 recipient of the Paul Elsner International Leadership Award and received the 2008 StrengthsQuest Vision Award.

Dr. Karre has published hundreds of articles and presented thousands of keynotes and presentations. She is author of "60 in 60: Creating Moments that Matter." She is currently doing research and writing on Stories of Strengths and Teaching With Strengths.

Dr. Karre is editor of the Chair Academy journal, Leadership, coauthor of Handbooks for the Academy for Leadership Development, and facilitator for the Academy's leadership program. She is author of Leadership Tips and Tools, including: Being a Strengths-Based Leader, Creating Change Through Strengths-Based Leadership, Strengths Feedback, and Being a Talent Scout.

Dr. Karre received her doctorate from the University of Colorado. Her Signature Themes are Strategic, Arranger, Learner, Maximizer, and Individualization.
