Best Practices: Texas Tech University
In 2009, the Texas Tech StrengthQuest Advocate Committee began a new campus tradition of StrengthsQuest Month. The purpose of the month each year is to:
- continue the growth of Texas Tech University as a strengths-based campus while helping students discover, develop, and apply their strengths in class, student organizations, leadership roles, and professional development
- offer continued training and support to the 3,000 Tech students, faculty, staff and alumni who have taken the Clifton StrengthsFinder this semester and 20,000 who have taken StrengthsFinder through StrengthsQuest since the program began at Texas Tech University
StrengthsQuest Month is filled with a series of seminars, discussions, and other activities that encourage faculty, staff, and students at Texas Tech to focus on their strengths and continue learning more about their strengths and others'. Participants learn how to apply strengths-based concepts in their education, careers, leadership roles, and even their personal relationships.
